Abstract

Structural BioComposites was an idea born out of a desire to save the forests, to help reduce deforestation, and to preserve biodiversity by producing a tree free alternative: Industrial Hemp Lumber. Industrial Hemp Lumber is scalable -- both in strength and dimension and can be formed into the same shape of all traditional construction materials commercially available to the consumer, seamlessly integrating into the construction industry. Industrial Hemp Lumber has the potential to replace a large percentage of forest service goods and reestablish multiple industries (i.e., farming, spinning mills, textile mills, resin and adhesive production) thereby, creating new jobs and new businesses across the USA. Currently there is a lack of high value end products for industrial hemp to thrive. Industrial Hemp Lumber will change this by producing many types of high value construction materials and various end products to help this emerging industry grow exponentially.
